What is an eSIM?
A digital SIM you activate by scanning a QR Code - no physical card needed.
Is my device eSIM compatible?
Please type *#06# on your calling keypad to check the 32-digit EID Number. If there is no EID, your device does not support eSIM.
How will I receive my eSIM?
Your eSIM will be delivered to the email address you provide during purchase. Please copy your "Redemption Code" and go to eSIM Exchange Webpage (https://esimexchange.com) to change to a QR code. Then, you can scan the QR code bound into your cellphone and activate it.
When do I install my eSIM?
You can install your eSIM anytime because the eSIM will only activate when it is connected to the supported network.
However, we recommend installing eSIM in areas with Wi-Fi in the country where you want to use it. Once eSIM is installed on your device through a QR scan, it will be available immediately. And, validity days begin once the eSIM activates.
How do I know if my eSIM is active?
Once you've installed your eSIM, you can check your device's network settings. You're good to go if it shows the network name and you've got signal bars!
Which countries accept eSIM?
Stay connected with our Africa Plan, which covers South Africa, Ghana, Egypt, Tunisia and Algeria, our Saudi Arabia Plan or True Travel Worldwide Plan which covers unlimited anytime data globally.
Can I still use my existing SIM card after installing eSIM?
You can activate and use eSIM even while maintaining the existing SIM card. However, one eSIM can only be bound to one phone, and only one eSIM can be used at a time.
Will using an eSIM drain my battery faster?
No. eSIM uses the same mobile modem as normal SIMs. Battery drain only increases if:
- You're using Dual SIM with active data on both.
- You're in poor network coverage and the phone keeps searching.
